Itinerary

Day 1:- Bangalore - Srirangapatna - Mysore - Coorg

Pick up from Bangalore at 6 AM from Railway Station / Bus Station and proceed to Srirangapatna. Visit to ancient Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and then proceed to Nimishamba Temple where Goddess Nimishamba is manifested along with the sacred Shri Chakra and are seated at the confluence of the holy rivers Kaveri and Lokapavani. There is a belief that Sri Nimishamba is going to remove all the problems and troubles of her devotees within a minute. (Nimisha means a minute). Mysore Chamundeshwari TempleThen proceed to Chamundi Hills at Mysore. The hill is famous for Chamundi Temple. The temple has a beautiful idol of the goddess. The top of the hill has a few attractions - the Mahishasura Statue and a few other temples nearby. After Lunch, proceed to Coorg, on arrival at Madikeri, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 :- Coorg - Talacauvery - Mangalore - Polali - Kateel

Morning, checkout the hotel and proceed to Talacauvery. Talacauvery is the origin of River Kaveri, a beautiful Talacauvery Temple built around it, and then visit to Bhagamandala. Bhagamandala is famous for the confluence of the three sacred rivers, Kaveri, Sujyothi and Kanike. Visit to the temple dedicated to Lord Bhagandeshwara (Shiva). After visiting Talacauvery and Bhagamandala, proceed to Mangalore, the headquaters of Dakshina Kannada district. Mangalore is port city famous for its beaches and Temples. On arrival at Mangalore, visit Kadri Manjunatha Temple, Mangaladevi Temple and famous Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple. Polali Rajarajeshwari TempleAfter visiting temples at Mangalore, proceed to Polali, a beautiful place where Nature leaves you stumped. The main attraction of Polali is Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple. Visit the temple and get the divine blessing of Goddess and then proceed to Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple, located on the banks of River Nandini. Get the divine blessings of Goddess Durgaparameshwari Temple and have dinner in the dining of the temple. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 :- Kateel - Mundkur - Kodayadka - Horanadu

Morning, after breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed to Mundkur. Mundkur is another important place of Shakti worship in Udupi district. The prime deity is Sri Durgaparameshwari in the form of Mahishamardini, holding the demon Mahisha upside down and piercing thrishul on his body. Hence the name Mundakke oori nintha OOru became Mundkur in the later stage as per one version. Then proceed to Kodyadka, also known as Hosanadu. The main attraction of this place is the temple dedicated to Goddess Annapoorneshwari. The Hosanadu Kodyadka temple is surrounded by evergreen woods rich in natural beauty, with abundance of flora and fauna. After getting the blessing of mother Annapooreneshwari, we will take you to one more famous temple town, Horanadu Annapoorneshwari TempleHoranadu. Horanadu is a place of enchanting natural landscape in Chikmagalur district, ancient temple of the goddess Annapoorneshwari here has been restored and renamed the Adi - Shaktyatmaka Shree Annapoorneshwari. Evening, visit to the temple and offer prayers to the Goddess and dinner in the temple dining hall. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 :- Horanadu - Sringeri - Kamalashile - Kollur Mookambika

Morning, visit to the temple and offer morning prayers to the Goddess of Food, Sri Annapoorneshwari and have breakfast and coffee at temple dining hall. Return to the hotel and check out the hotel and proceed to Sringeri to offer prayers to Sri Sharadamba, Goddess of Knowledge. Sringeri is located on the banks of river Tunga and it is the site of the first mutt established by Adi Shankaracharya. The main attraction of Sringeri is Sri Sharadamba Temple and Vidya Shankara Temple. The Vidyashankara temple is an architectural marvel. Visit these two temples and have delicious lunch at the beautiful and large dining hall of the temple. Kollur Mookambika TempleThen, proceed to Kollur. Enroute, watch the world famous Sunset Point and then the beauty of Agumbe Ghats and if time permits, visit to Kamalashile Bramhi Durga Parameshwari Temple, on the banks of River Kubja. Then proceed to Kollur. On arrival at Kollur, check in to the hotel and proceed to visit Sri Mookambika Temple and dinner at Temple dining hall, return to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5:- Kollur - Sigandur - Sirsi

Morning after breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed to Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple, located near river Sharavathi. The location is itself very extraordinary as the temple is surrounded by greenery on one side and the river on the other. The Sigandur temple is very unique in itself, as the Goddess is self manifest and is very powerful. Godess Chowdeshwari is very powerful goddess where in prayed honestly gets results positive. Then proceed to Sirsi town in Uttara Kannada district. On arrival at Sirsi, check in to the hotel and proceed to visit Sri Marikamba Temple at Sirsi. The 16th century Marikamba temple in Sirsi is main attraction of Sirsi and it is one of the important seats of shakti worship in Karnataka. Sri Marikamba Temple houses a huge idol of Goddess, which is about seven feet tall. Then visit to Maha Ganapathi and Shri Gopalakrishna Temple near Marikamba Temple.

Day 6:- Sirsi - Bangalore

Morning after breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed to Banavasi. Banavasi was capital of Kadamba ruler, Mayura. The main attraction of Banavasi is Madhukeshwara Temple built in the 9th century and dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is protected by the archeological survey of India (ASI). You can proceed to Bangalore after visiting the Madhukeshwara Temple at Banavasi. On arrival at Bangalore, transfer to railway station for onward journey, Karnataka Shakti Peeta Tour Package ends with the delightful memories and divine blessings.
