Dakshina Kannada is a coastal district in Karnataka state with Mangalore as district Headquarters. Dakshina Kannada was earlier known as South Canara (South Kanara). Dakshina Kannada can be said as land of culture, tradition and rituals. The people of Dakshina Kannada worship Lord subrahmanya, serpent god and they perform rituals like Nagaradhane. According to Legend, The district was reclaimed by Parashurama from sea. Dakshina Kannada is well known for popular folk art 'Yakshagana' (a fabulous costumed dance drama form). The languages spoken in Dakshina Kannada are Tulu, Kannada and Konkani.

Itinerary

Day 1 :- Bangalore - Yediyur - Adi Chunchanagiri - Kukke Subramanya

Pickup from Bangalore at 6 AM in the morning. And proceed to Yediyur Kshetra, to get the blessings of Sri Siddalingeshwara. Have breakfast at temple dining hall. Kukke Subrahmanya TempleThen proceed to Adi Chunchanagiri Kshetra and drive to Kukke Subramanya, a popular religious destination which is surrounded by lush green forest along with hills. It is situated on the banks of the Kumaradhara River. The main temple located in Kukke is of Subrahmanya that is dedicated to the Snake God Vasuki and Lord Subrahmanya. The temple is famous for religious rituals pertaining to snake god. On arrival, check in to the Hotel and relax for some time. If interested take a holy dip in Kumaradhara River, then visit to the main temple. After having darshan, visit to Adi Subrahmanya Temple. Evening, free to relax. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 2 :- Kukke Subrahmanya - Uppinangadi - Mangalore - Kateel - Dharmasthala

Early morning at 6 AM, check out the hotel and proceed to Mangalore. Enroute, visit Uppinangady, a temple town surrounded by the Kumaradhara River on one side and Nethravathi River on the other. Uppinangadi is also known as Dakshina Kashi. Uppinangady has a beautiful Sahasralingeshara Temple along its river banks. Visit the beautiful temple and proceed to Mangalore. On arrival at Mangalore, visit Kadri Manjunatha Temple, then Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple, Mangaladevi Temple and famous Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple. After visiting temples at Mangalore, proceed to Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple, located on the banks of River Nandini. Get the divine blessings of Goddess Durgaparameshwari Temple and proceed to Dharmasthala. On arrival at Dharmasthala, check in to the hotel (at Ujire) and proceed to visit Lord Manjunatha Swamy (Shiva) temple. Visit to Rathnagiri to see the statue of Bhagawan Bahubali or Gommateshwara and Sri Rama Kshetra, on the banks of river Nethravathi. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 :- Dharmasthala - Ujire - Sauthadka - Shishila - Bangalore

Early morning, proceed to visit Janardhana Swamy Temple at Ujire and Sadashiva Rudra Temple at Surya Village near Ujire. A temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the temple has got a unique tradition of offering clay sculptures to God when their wishes are fulfilled as a symbol of gratitude. Return to the hotel. After breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed to Sauthadka Ganapathi Kshetra, a place dedicated to Vana Mahaganapathi (without any temple structure) and it is surrounded by scenic beauty. There is no restriction for worshiping god anytime. Then proceed to Shishila located in the picturesque location. Here a 1000 year old temple is dedicated to Lord Shishileshwara on the banks of river Kapila. Shishileshwara Temple ShishilaIt is also believed that one can get rid of all types of skin disease after worshipping at Shishileshwara temple and feeding the fish in Kapila River. If time permits, proceed to visit Montetadka Durga Parameshwari Temple at Shibaje and drive to Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore, transfer to railway station for onward journey, Dakshina Kannada Temple Tour Package ends.

45-30 Days prior to the operation of the booked tour - 10 % of total tour cost

29-16 Days prior to the operation of the booked tour - 20 % of total tour cost

15-08 Days prior to the operation of the booked tour - 30 % of total tour cost

07-03 Days prior to the operation of the booked tour - 50 % of total tour cost

02-01 Day prior to the operation of the booked tour - 100 % of total tour cost
